Unit Associate I

+ Unit Representative functions in the Emergency Department; responds to patients/ family's needs in a courteous, positive and timely manner with confidence and compassion that reflect AHS PRIDE values.
+ Courteously and promptly answers multiple telephone calls, receiving and giving accurate and complete message to appropriate personnel according to hospital and departmental guidelines.
+ Presents information in an articulate, organized and coherent manner.
+ Review and enter physician orders and file appropriately in patient's chart.
+ Calls attending physicians as directed by ED physician in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Strong communication skills, strong knowledge of computers, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
+ Must be able to work evenings/Nights/Weekend
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English
Minimum Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
Relevant Experience:
+ Prior experience in an Emergency Room setting preferred
+ Prior medical experience i.e. nursing school, hospital work, doctors office
