The Unit Director is responsible for 24-hour leadership and management of their area, ensuring an exceptional experience for patients and staff. This includes improving patient care, creating a positive work environment, and overseeing clinical and administrative functions. The Unit Director collaborates with medical staff on patient outcomes, sets quality priorities, supports professional governance, and drives safety improvements. They manage staffing, employee evaluations, performance, and the department budget, while fostering continuous development. Flexibility for off-shift and weekend work is required.
About the Unit:
8G Neuro Trauma is a 23-bed progressive care unit dedicated to caring for neurologic and neurosurgical patients. We serve as a comprehensive stroke and trauma unit, managing step-down care for patients recovering from trauma and stroke.
