Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. **Requisition ID:** 40083BR **Optional Attachments:** Transcript **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to analyze accounting systems for proper controls and reporting capabilities. + Collaborates and provides support to the Clinical Department Administrator in pursuing the department's goals and objectives. + Ability to prepare financial statements and reports. Working knowledge of data processing systems as they relate to accounting. + Supervises and trains staff in the department in day-to-day business activities. + Work is performed under general direction from the Department Administrator and Chair. + Reviews and improves the operations interface between the department and the applicable fiscal operations office. + Designs and manages departmental fiscal operations. + Uses Banner/Cognos System. + Performs under pressure of deadlines. + Displays accurate and skillful use of a personal computer and assigned software. + Detail-oriented. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships. + Knowledge of and able to operate proficiently: Cognos/Banner System, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), PASS system, Budget Revision System, TechBuy, ePAF, EOPS, TeamApp, Kenexa, ASC contracting system and other internal systems. + Prepares, processes, submits and reviews: EOPS payments, labor redistributions, budget revisions, ePAF and PASS transactions and e-certifications. + Effectively collaborates with other TTUHSC departments to conduct various business functions to accomplish goals and objectives set forth by Department leadership. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). + Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution. + Performs all duties as assigned. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected **Pay Basis:** Hourly **Work Location:** El Paso **Preferred Qualifications:** + AHIP certification preferred but not required. + Demonstrable computer skills, including the ability to teach others computer skills. + Demonstrable teaching skills.
