Responsibilities: 

Responsible for seeing that approved standards of resident care are maintained throughout the facility and overseeing the quality of nursing care.  

Delegates responsibility for direct resident care activities to Head Nurse/Nurse in Charge of each unit. Responsible for supervising, evaluating, counseling, and coaching care members on assigned units. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems at the unit level. Keeps the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of resident’s status through verbal communication and written reports. Makes daily rounds, visits every floor of responsibility, and checks acutely ill residents, admissions, and follows up on residents.   Performs periodic audit of charting and documentation. Assures proper execution of physician's orders. Deals effectively, professionally, and tactfully with resident and family concerns.  Submits weekly and monthly reports on statistics, meetings, and other pertinent information. Attends continuing education classes, seminars, workshops to maintain professional competency. 

 

Salary: $45.8366 per hour

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

2 years of experience in Nursing Administration required Current NY State LPN license.

Education:
