UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (TITLE 32)
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2406000 and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard. Responsibilities As a Unit Program Coordinator, GS-0303-07, you will directly assist the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Administer programs and serve as the primary source of information. The incumbent is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence. Assist commander/director in accomplishing all necessary internal operations to include administrative training, security, development of organizational operating instructions and regulations, and personnel assistance. Act as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel; orient them regarding the basic functions of the organization, introduce them to key personnel and schedule their initial training/orientation requirements. Propose alternate approaches to management to more efficiently operate programs. Assist in planning for and coordinating the implementation and compliance with higher echelon policy and procedural requirements in the area of administration. Disseminate information concerning new or changed procedures/regulations. Based on administrative support program requirements, determine administrative needs, and assure these needs are met. Instruct others on changes in administrative policies and procedures. Identify and implement processes which can be improved or made more efficient through application of automated technology or other methods. Train, orient, direct, and oversee the duties and work products of squadron POCs. Suspense and/or prioritize work. Assign suspense to all staff personnel to support the commander/director. Collect, organize, and compile data in order to recommend actions to the commander/director. Conduct reviews and briefings on all facets of management functions with recommended courses of action for resolving problems. Conduct studies, inquiries, and surveys to determine compliance with program requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLANG BUS Code NG0523: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation. The current exclusive representative is The Association of Civilian Technicians, Chapter 86 and the President is Mr. Robert Morgan at rmorgan@actnat.com. MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted; E4 thru E6. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which indicates the candidate performed progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-05 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring personal correspondence, reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources. Experience reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, and other materials submitted for the Commander's signature. Experience receiving telephone calls, greets visitors and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits, screening those that can be handled without supervisor's help. Experience coordinating meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences including those involving staff from outside the immediate office. Experience using advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.
