Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or delegate, assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Shift- 7:00am- 3;00pmMonday-Friday with every other weekend/holidaysFull TimeEssential Functions:
Always identifies correct patient charts and reports before filing; verifies that all information is correct and takes corrective action when necessaryEnsures accuracy at all timesDemonstrates a thorough working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology; asks questions to clarify misunderstandingsDocuments patients allergies in appropriate formsEnsures a safe environment in aspects of care, equipment and treatmentMaintains confidentiality of patient information at all times; maintains patient privacy at all timesProvides assistance to staff in the organized workflow of daily unit operationsSecures needed unit services as directed such as maintenance, security, housekeepingUnderstands the importance of communicationFollows through on messages timely and to the appropriate staff memberMaintains communication with Admitting Department and cooperates with room assignmentsNotifies nurse upon arrival of an admissionAssists nurses by picking up and delivering, specimens, medications, charts, requisitions, etc.To different departments and dumbwaiter as requestedIdentifies and reports potential and actual patient safety issuesCorrectly complies with national patient safety goals and applicable policies as appropriate to scope of practiceDemonstrates the 4C s of Commitment, Compassion, Competence and CommunicationPromotes patient satisfaction by courteous interaction with staff, physicians, patients and visitorsResponds to patient and visitor inquiries and comments, referring to appropriate personnel as indicatedPerforms required clerical work relating to the admission, transfer and discharge of a patientHourly round and Answer phone calls and bellsKeeps unit supplied with all necessary stationery and other supplies at all timesParticipates in economical utilization of supplies and equipment and orders supplies as necessary with cost awarenessKeep station orderly and neatSalary Range:
$17.18 per hour
