OverviewHospice Home Care is currently seeking a Unit Secretary. Unit Secretary work involves standard administrative responsibilities, such as answering phones, making copies, maintaining needed report & greeting visitors. This is a full-time opportunity accompanied by comprehensive benefits including Paid Time Off and 401(k).
Responsibilities• Previous clerical experience-healthcare, preferred
• Reliable transportation and maintain a current driver license in the state and maintain automobile liability insurance
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Be able to work autonomously, and stay organized in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Answer of all income calls, screening and sending to appropriate staff member
• Provide facility tours
• Maintain IPU visitor census report
• Maintain calendar for meetings scheduled in IPU conference room, Annex II conference room & Chapel
• Obtain approval for respite request from administrator, once approved send email to Social Worker and Team Coordinator
• Maintain the respite calendar on a daily basis, and email Social Worker and Team Coordinator 48hrs in advance to confirm dates/times patient will be arriving and leaving, and confirm transport has been arranged if needed
• Create door certificate for Veteran’s admitted to the inpatient unit, and hang on patient’s door
• Create door name tag for each patient room upon admission to inpatient unit
• Have arm band and blanket ready for all admission to inpatient unit
• Make low census calls to referral sources
• Assures all mail is processed correctly and timely.
• Abides by and demonstrates the company Mission-Vision-Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis
• Adheres to and participates in company mandatory HIPPA privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs/practices
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
