We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Unit Secretary contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of clerical tasks. The Unit Secretary functions as receptionist for the unit and assists the patient care team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. What you will do for this role: + You will perform clerical functions in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. + You will be responsible for supervision of nursing unit’s physical needs, and to transcribe orders. + You will answer call lights, be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining chart organization, and keep files/forms in orderly, organized fashion. + You will conduct job duties in accordance with established hospital and departmental policy and safety/infection control standards. + You will complete procedures related to patient admissions, transfers, discharges and expiration according to policy and procedures. + You will actively participate in hospital and departmental group meetings.
