The Unit Secretary carries out secretarial duties related to the smooth functioning of their assigned nursing unit.
What you will do:
The Unit Secretary supports the assigned unit by facilitating communication with patients, staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments. The Unit Secretary directs incoming calls and responds to patient calls. The Unit Secretary enters physician’s orders in the Information System. The Unit Secretary maintains patient’s charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels. The Unit Secretary is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
What you will need:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS, thru American Heart Association, required at time of hire.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
Experience: Hospital or Clinical experience preferred

May also require the use of additional personal protective equipment such as masks, safety glasses, gown or other OSHA required equipment.
