The Unit Secretary coordinates clerical support activities to patient care teams and acts as a focal point of communication within nursing units. Duties include answering telephones, filing, greeting patients and visitors, electronic data entry and assisting with documentation. Under the direction of nursing personnel, the nursing assistant role in the outpatient setting will include providing care and comfort of patients as needed. Duties include but not limited to collection of vital signs, unit cleaning, assist nursing with the admission and discharge process.
