About the unit
The Pre-op and PACU at Troy Beaumont are a fast-paced critical care unit that specialize in the preparation and recovery of patients who are undergoing a surgical procedure. Our department is comprised of 3 pre-op areas and 3 PACU areas, specializing in both outpatient and inpatient surgeries. Staff who join our units should be teamwork oriented and possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Scope of work
The Unit Secretary coordinates the non-clinical aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. Performs unit clerical functions. Acts as a receptionist. Acts as an intradepartmental and interdepartmental liaison. Orders and stocks office supplies, coordinates repair of office & unit equipment.
