Unit Support Tech - Surgery

St. John's Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Unit Support Tech to join our growing team. The Unit Support Tech will play a vital role in our nursing team. 


Responsibilities
You will provide essential support by performing tasks such as cleaning and disinfecting OR rooms.Restocking medical supplies.Assisting with patient transport (wheelchair and bed transfers)Collaborating with nurses to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow. A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential.
Qualifications
6 months of recent experience in a hospital setting as an EVS, and or Transporting  Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Setting Previous experience in EVS Effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and medical staff. Relates with patients/visitors empathetically and tactfully. Reacts calmly and effectively in emergencies. Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and health standards. Ability to follow written and oral instructions in exact detail. Current CPR certification is required.
