University Account Manager

OVERVIEW

Off Campus Partners, a CoStar Group subsidiary and Apartments.com network is a leading online apartment rental listing website to simplify the off-campus housing search process for universities, students and property managers nationwide. The listing program powers the off-campus housing service at many of the nation’s leading universities.

The University Account Manager at Off Campus Partners is responsible for managing university client relationships within an assigned territory to ensure an exceptional client experience. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with university clients, effectively servicing each client regularly to drive renewals and growth and providing internal team support. Additionally, the University Account Manager collaborates with market-focused sales teams to help drive revenue growth by aligning client needs with strategic opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain strong relationships with university clients in your territory, meeting all service requirements and supporting account growth.Regularly engage with each client, ensuring effective servicing, renewals, and growth through tailored strategies.Prepare and present customized materials for each university meeting, providing updates, insights, and client feedback.Serve as the main point of contact, addressing day-to-day needs, understanding client challenges, and ensuring product/service value.Monitor client satisfaction through surveys and feedback, proactively addressing issues and reporting account health and opportunities to your manager.Communicate with clients about revenue shares, renewals, and strategic marketing plans, collaborating to support growth.Track and share university-specific feedback and trends to support sales teams, and coordinate travel and events with management approval.Stay informed on industry trends in higher education and off-campus housing, contributing to team improvements and organizing partner webinars.Attend university events and anticipate 30-40% travel, peaking around the academic calendar in spring and fall.

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer support roles within a corporate environmentStrong communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Strong strategic, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong technical and presentation skills. Self-starter who can work within a team environment and independently, while being highly organized with a strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license.Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.  Driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge or experience in higher education and/or the student housing industry. 5 or more years of experience in managing a high-profile portfolio of clients with an emphasis on client retention and revenue growth within a business-to-business environment

This position offers a base salary of $85,000 and includes a generous bonus and benefits plan.
