FORVIA is looking for a University of Cincinnati Industrial Engineering co-op for our Franklin, OH location.

Overall responsibilities and duties:

An Engineering co-op will support the engineering team in a variety of departments, including (but not limited to) concept engineering, PPV, customer engineering and Program team. The intern will function to complete engineering deliverables as defined by the functional manager.

The main missions of the role are:

 

Support execution of engineering changesLearns how to produce/develop processes for production environment’sAssists with alternative solutionsMaintain strong familiarity with customer CAD/BOM & the integrityCompletes all assignments with the prescribed schedulesSearch and propose improvements to optimize our process/flowsAssist Faurecia Excellence Team on layout changes and lean manufacturing tools deploymentHelp production Team Leaders and Supervisors to identify and solve their production issues

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

Minimum education level:

 

Working towards a degree in Business, Engineering or related field at the University of Cincinnati

 

 

Experience:

 

Sophomore, Junior, Senior status

 

Skills and competencies:

 

Production/process/lean manufacturing experience would be a plusExperience on 2D/3D design, at least 2D (AutoCAD, CAD)Continuous improvement mindsetProblem diagnosis and analytic skillsResults oriented with strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a matrixed organizationSelf-sufficient
