HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
● You will be working with a team of professionals to accomplish team goals and provide customer deliverables.
● As part of the Shares Team your contributions will assist in efforts to resolve technical challenges.
● You will be a member of a dynamic team that always seek excellence and technical knowledge grow.
● You will install, configure, and maintain/deploy, Linux and Unix operating systems at various government Labs, Test or Productions environment.
● Troubleshoot and resolve issues with servers, applications, and software.
● Develop build guides and procedures. Maintain and update documentation on the operating system configuration and all other areas of responsibility.
● Install and maintain Red Hat Satellite servers to push changes to various servers simultaneously.
● Apply all appropriate security and firmware patches in a timely manner, and assist in creating, maintaining, and adhering to DISA's standards. Conduct ACAS scans and mitigate findings.
● Ensure security compliance of Red Hat systems through Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and patching CVEs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Qualifications/Certifications: DoD 8570.1-M certification: IAT Level III
● Computing Environment Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200)
● Required Technical Skills: Provide planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to the ADCNOMS project on Unix/Linux platforms.
● Security Clearance Level: Secret
● Required Skills and Abilities: Good communicator, problem solver and writing
● Location: Customer Site
