Back Location : Columbia , MD Description :Our client is seeking a UNIX administrator for an AIX to RedHat migration project. The position is available as a long term Contract or as a 6 month Contract to Hire opportunity,for those interested in converting to full time status.
Qualification Requirements:
General: Position requires BA/BS in Computer Science with 3-5 years of prior work experience in the specific technical discipline, OR equivalent experience.
Technical: Position requires advanced knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems, System Hardware Platforms and Databases as well as familiarity with communications, programming, storage and supporting software as listed below:
Specialized skills
UNIX OS Administration:
Expert-level knowledge and experience managing & troubleshooting AIX and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems.
Expert-level knowledge and experience with ESX (VMWare), and Virtualization.
Certification Required:
RedHat, VMware (AIX certification a plus)
