Job Title: Unmanned Maritime Systems Instructor Position Number: UMS-IN 002 Location: EODTEU TWO JEBLC-FS, Virginia Beach, VA Worksite: Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit TWO, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Ft Story Travel: Travel required Status: Full-Time Clearance: Secret Date Added: January 17, 2025 Job Summary: The Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) Instructor will augment and support active duty instructors in the EODTEU TWO UMS Division providing a MINEnet Tactical (MNT) training course and UMS ULT support providing training to Navy EOD officers and enlisted personnel assigned to an Expeditionary Mine Countermeasure (ExMCM) company in the areas of ExMCM doctrine, mission planning, tactical employment, and Mine Warfare (MIW) messaging to effectively conduct MNT planning for Major Combat Operations (MCO). Duties and Responsibilities: + Navigate and interpret Mine Counter Measures (MCM) Publications + Manage Mine Order of Battle (MOOB) in MNT + Conduct Mine Factor Analysis (MFA) in MNT + Conduct Environmental Analysis in MNT + Calculate Maximum Achievable Clearance in MNT + Create all associated types of Plans (i.e., Exploratory, Clearance, Reconnaissance, Attrition, Breakthrough) in MNT and utilize the Tactical Planning Parameters Database (TPPD) + Record Plan data from MINENet onto associated UMS mission sortie planning worksheets + Upload/input asset posits, contacts, OPAREAs, create effectiveness cases, contact management, and write PERREP + Create Mine Danger Area (MDA) and OPAREA within MDA + Edit Effort and Create Effectiveness Case (updated percentage) + Discuss and/or execute sub-segmenting, if required + Assist in facilitation of UMS courses of instruction as required. Qualifications: + Graduate of MINENET Tactical All Users COI (A-130-1167) + Two years of instructional experience in lieu of designation (DD-214, course certificates, etc.). + Possess APP-11 OPREP/OPTASK NMW (Naval Mine Warfare) familiarity + Possess a broad background, knowledge, skill and experience in the Naval Operational Planning Process and Command and Control of assigned forces. + Honorably Discharged from Active Duty Military service, if applicable. + Must meet Navy High-Risk Training requirements as outlined in OPNAVINST 1500.75 series. + Qualification criteria. All contract instructors shall meet one of the following requirements in accordance with NETCINST 1500.5(Series) as acceptable forms of instructor training: + Military service Instructor Training Course (ITC) + Instructor training via an accredited academic institution + Academic credentialing (teacher/professor) + NETC Academic ITC requirements.
