SUMMARY
The Grand Sierra is looking for energetic and customer service minded individuals to join the Food and Beverage team as a Food Server for Uno Mas. The Food Server guarantees guests are served in a warm, accommodating and professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction. Guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire restaurant and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Take food orders and beverage orders from restaurant customers and input orders in to P.O.S. system. Deliver orders following required standards for the position. Prepare table side items as requested by customer; anticipate guest’s needs. Complete all side work including but not limited to: wiping down stations, re-stocking supplies, etc. Polish silver, buff glasses, set-up service cart, etc. in order to prepare tables and stations. Breakdown stations, carts and tables at close of restaurant. Explain menu to the guests and answer any questions they may have Always check on quality of food and service to ensure excellent guest service. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Previous restaurant experience preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a tactful and respectful manner. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests, employees and supervisors. Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours. Dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients.
