KTVI/ KPLR is currently accepting Sales Internship applications for the 2025 Spring semester. Internships for this semester are unpaid. Interns must be receiving college credit. The Sales internship will provide hands-on experience in a Sales room of a local News Station with our Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Attend sales training and development sessions to build a strong foundation in sales processes.
· Collaborate with team members to understand various sales strategies, tactics, and best practices.
· Learn the roles and responsibilities of each member of the sales team and how they contribute to the overall sales efforts.
· Gain industry-specific knowledge and become familiar with the language and terminology used in media sales.
· Help prepare media sales presentations, proposals, and advertising packages for potential clients.
· Conduct research on market trends, competitive media offerings, and client needs to support sales efforts.
· Assist in preparing media proposals, advertising contracts, and timelines for clients.
· Support the sales team in campaign tracking, reporting, and ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
· Analyze audience insights, viewership data, and digital analytics to contribute to media strategies.
· Attend meetings (in-person or virtual) with the sales team and clients to gain exposure to media sales processes and client interactions.
· Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of media sales and industry trends.
· Collaborate with sales staff to better understand the sales cycle and strategies used to close deals.
