Position Title: Upfitter

A Upfitter at Blackridge Fleet works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as dump bodies, crane bodies, bumper cranes, etc.

Looking for:

Accommodating and analytical, while producing highly precise and accurate workResourceful and seeks a high level of technical expertiseUnselfish and approachable with a preference for detailed, skill-based workPrior automotive technician (mechanic) experience preferredBasic mechanical knowledgeBasic welding skills, electrical wiring, hydraulics, etc.Ability to operate power hand toolsAbility to lift/move up to 50 pounds

What you’ll do:

Follow all safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.Install truck bodies, body cranes, bumper crane, plows. etc.Mount hitches, shelves, drawersInstall ladder racks, mud flapsInstall back-up camerasTrain mechanics as neededAssemble and install equipment such as: service bodies, platforms, van packages, hoist, electrical components and circuits, shelving and drawer systems, ladder racks and other mechanical items
