**Now Hiring: Industrial Upholsterers** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled upholsterer to join our team on the 1st shift from 6am-3pm or 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed. The primary focus of this role will be on upholstery work, including a variety of custom projects for clients, such as the Grand Hotel in Mackinaw Island. The job involves industrial sewing and working on items like large chairs, sofas, pillows, and cushions. Some assembly of wood pieces prior to sewing will be required, but the majority of the time will be spent finding patterns and sewing them. **Responsibilities** + Perform upholstery work on a variety of custom projects. + Conduct industrial sewing on large chairs, sofas, pillows, and cushions. + Assemble some wood pieces prior to sewing work. + Find and sew patterns for various upholstery projects. **Essential Skills** + Experience in upholstery + Proficiency in sewing + Ability to use small hand tools + Experience with industrial sewing machines **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in graphic design or product design is a plus **Why Work Here?** Enjoy full benefits when you become a direct employee. The smell of cut wood fills the air, creating a nostalgic and inspiring atmosphere. The upholstery work is conducted in a separate, temperature-controlled area away from the woodworking sections where products are assembled prior to upholstery work. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
