Lab Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a team of 3-4 lab technicians, with 90% of your time dedicated to testing samples from customers, recording and documenting the results, and writing reports using our report templates. You will work with various testing methods including HFR, viscosity, Gas Chromatography (GC), and Karl Fischer titration.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine testing of samples from customers.Record and document test results accurately.Write detailed reports using provided templates.Perform testing using HFR, viscosity, GC, and Karl Fischer methods.Provide exceptional technical service for manufactured, distributed, or resale additive products.Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality responses to technical requests.Sample products, manage shipping and receiving of samples.Organize the warehouse and maintain inventory of chemicals and samples.Support new product development by assisting chemists in developing test data for new products.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience using Karl Fischer titration and/or Gas Chromatography.Exposure to mixing or blending chemicals.Experience using scales and balances in academic labs or industry settings.No significant unexplained gaps in employment or completion of chemistry courses with lab experience.
