Description
This person will perform a full range of tasks related to laboratory testing, analysis, and equipment calibration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned.)
•Perform laboratory testing on oil samples derived from the refinery, wet chemistry tests including, viscosity, titrations, Karl Fischer, colorimeter, ash testing (burning oil), octant analysis, water-soluble, density, etc.
•ICP, XRF, GC-ECD testing
•Maintain, understand, and use laboratory equipment per laboratory policy.
•Laboratory cleaning, stocking, and chemical waste handling.
•Identify and procure components as needed for maintenance support and repairs on laboratory equipment.
•Prepare equipment for cleaning and mechanical repairs and maintain all necessary records.
•Perform regular maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
•Evaluates laboratory and practices safe working procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
•Review reports on oil samples and notice variations or trends in finished products.
•Data entry and filing on a daily basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUST:
-Bachelors degree in STEM
- Must haven taken chemistry courses

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
