US External Reporting Manager
In this role You will:
Liaise with the Group External Reporting Manager to support the day to day workload and develop the skills and capabilities within the analyst team including development for current team members and training for new team members.Support the VP External Financial Reporting in the preparation of annual and quarterly US and group external reports, leading on the US statutory reporting.Support the digital agenda for the External Reporting team driving use of systems and analytics solutions to support simplification and standardisationAssist submitters and key business/segment contacts across the group with group reporting issues.Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure we remain aligned withrelevant requirements and that sign-offs are obtained in a timely manner.Involvement in ad-hoc projects across ARCFind opportunities for continuous improvement and simplifications within the key group reporting processes.Ensure robust controls operate over all accounting systems and processes and Group requirements for internal controls over financial reporting are met.Provide advice to businesses on group reporting matters.What You will need to be successful:
Relevant Education and experience as a qualified accountant.Fluency in English.Ability to coach, challenge, and influence effectivelyDemonstrable leadership and stakeholder management skills.Strong financial, analytical, Excel, Power BI, and communication skills.Experience of Group reporting processes/systemsKnowledge of Group Reporting ManualGood business judgment in handling potentially sensitive financial issues.Ability to manage multiple/conflicting priorities.At bp, we provide the following environment & benefits to you:
