US International Tax Manager

In this position the candidate will assist in the preparation and review of all U.S. international tax calculations, tax forms, and provision for income tax. This position will also help identify U.S. international tax planning opportunities, process improvements and make recommendations. What the day will look like + Assisting in the calculation and review of E&P, GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT and FTC for the tax return and quarterly tax provision, including FIN 48 + Review of all required US tax compliance forms and filings for foreign entities such as 5471s, 5472s, 8858s, 8865s + Assist with the foreign tax credit calculations, including 861-expense allocation process and Form 1118 + Assist with US international quarterly tax provision + Responsible for calculation of Section 986(c), 987 and 988 impacts + Provide analytical and data support for tax planning team + Research and interpret current and emerging tax regulations + Assist in the preparation of tax controversy matters + Drive process improvements to achieve operational efficiencies + Maintain and update U.S. International compliance structure in Corptax + Coach and mentor tax analysts and senior analysts Skills and experience that will lead to success + BS Degree in Finance or Accounting required + Minimum 5 years of progressive related experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm in combination with a background in Industry + Demonstrated understanding of ASC 740 at a complex level for a global organization. + Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization both written and oral + Excellent data and analytical skills + Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects + Proven ability to work in a collaborative and cross functional organization + Self-starter with strong work ethic and a passion for a challenging environment + Willingness to learn and work in new areas of taxation. + Able to handle multiple assignments and manage competing priorities with tight deadlines. + CPA a plus + Knowledge of Corptax required + Hybrid (Chicago) or Remote How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000 - $140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
