US Pricing Strategy & Customer Value Optimization Director
The Director will play a critical role in ensuring price consistency, competitiveness, and value alignment, overseeing the entire pricing process. As part of the marketing leadership team, you will ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with customer needs, value propositions, and broader business objectives, positioning pricing as a pivotal lever for growth and differentiation. This individual will report directly to the VP of Marketing and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive pricing strategy and revenue optimization. Responsibilities: + Strategic Pricing Framework: In alignment with global policies and expectations, design and implement US pricing strategies rooted in market trends, customer value, and revenue optimization principles. Utilize data analysis, market insights, and customer segmentation to inform pricing decisions. + Customer Value Modeling: Ensure US-relevant in-depth analysis of price elasticity and sensitivity is conducted to drive data-informed pricing decisions and revenue forecasts. + Market Integration: Leverage market research and competitive intelligence to establish dynamic pricing models that reflect evolving market demands. + Value-Based Pricing: Develop pricing methodologies that connect customer value to business outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. + Governance & Compliance: Establish and oversee robust pricing governance frameworks to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance across all pricing activities. Continuously evaluate and refine pricing frameworks, discount policies, and escalation processes. + Innovative Pricing Approaches: Drive the adoption of forward-thinking pricing models, such as subscription-based or outcome-oriented pricing, to capture emerging market opportunities. + Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with finance, sales, and commercial teams to align pricing initiatives with organizational priorities, ensuring seamless execution and communication. + Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Collaborate with Commercial Operations to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for pricing effectiveness and continually track performance. Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. + 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or a related field, ideally within the life sciences or healthcare industry. + Demonstrated experience in building and implementing pricing strategies and systems. + Expertise in value-based pricing, elasticity modeling, and customer behavior analytics. + Proven ability to link pricing strategy with market positioning and customer value. + Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven decision-making. + Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. + Proficiency with pricing software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
