US Terminal Operations HSSE Senior Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director, US Terminal Operations the HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) Manager for Global Fuel Terminals will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and enhancing the health, safety, security, and environmental practices across multiple fuel terminal locations in the U.S. This position ensures full compliance with national and international regulatory standards and promotes a culture of safety and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

Provide leadership, guidance, and recommendations on health and safety issues to ensure the accomplishment of goals and establish/maintaining a strong safety and human performance culturePartner to standardize, implement, and monitor written health and safety policies, procedures, and practicesProvide professional health and safety technical assistance, performing hands-on health and safety hazard analysis, compliance assessments, and critical behavior observationsProvide recommendations and strategic support to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazardsPerform Safety and Human Performance assessments of Circle K employees and work sites.Present Safety and Human Performance awareness and training topics to Circle K employeesCoordinate safety training scheduling and budget plans for regional management.Track and provide the required safety statistics to customers as required.Serve as the central point of contact for regional leadership, management, and field employees on all Health and Safety issues providing interpretation, guidance, on-site field direction, and recommended solutions to regions/business unitsDevelop/maintain/provide procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for assessing the operational impact of existing and proposed regulations and will be able to independently identify, develop, and present recommendations to Circle K management.Perform research and present findings to the Circle K management team on safety-related issues, such as tools and equipment, training, state and federal regulationsCollaborate with other entities such as client safety departments to accomplish tasks.Develop and maintain HSSE framework and tools (fit for purpose)Manage contractor safety requirementsMaintain a standard for conducting investigations and corrective and preventive actions regarding workplace accidents, injuries, and job site safety. Make recommendations to correct any issues. Partner with operations to complete corrective and/or preventive measures.Represent Circle K in relevant external settings, as applicableRemains current on federal, state, county, and local safety regulations, keeping management advised of new or revised regulations and their projected impact. Ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.  Acts as Company contact for any federal, state or municipal safety or risk management authority. Develop, maintain, and secure training related to Emergency Response PlanCoordinate “authority having jurisdiction” reportingCoordinate HSSE reporting in applicable systems with a focus on high-quality actionsThis role will be part of a global HSSE network and will coordinate efforts within that group in addition to U.S. responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Higher relevant education/university degree (long relevant industry experience can compensate)Minimum of 8 years experience in fuel logistics, oil terminals, refineries, manufacturing, process, or similar industry

This position requires frequent travel to various terminal locations across the U.S.. It involves collaboration with on-site teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that high HSSE standards are consistently maintained.
