What you'll do...

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance 1st Shift Manager to join Walmart's Manufacturing Optical Lab in Fayetteville, AR.

This position requires onsite presence and does not offer remote work options. Candidates must be flexible to work outside of standard Monday – Friday / 8-5pm rotation as needed for training and/or business operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitors work plans, workloads, and associates to meet deadlines and stay on schedule.
2. Maintains quality and safety standards for the facility, grounds, and equipment.
3. Diagnoses and repairs equipment problems, and ensures associates are trained to make repairs.
4. Manages daily operations of the maintenance department and assigns and supports activities to ensure compliance with external rules and regulations.
5. Supports associate engagement by providing learning opportunities and cross-training opportunities.
6. Manages complex projects and plans, prioritizes, and distributes assignments to maintenance technicians.
7. Supervises and develops associates in area of responsibility, including assigning duties, communicating goals, and providing feedback.
8. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments to meet customer and business needs.
9. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
10. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness.

Essential Qualifications:

* Two years of experience in a Walmart maintenance technician position OR

* One year of experience in industrial maintenance, including six months leading a work or project team

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience in supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees
* Experience in managing workload and assigning tasks to ensure compliance with external rules and regulations
* Experience in participating in the hiring and promotion of employees in industrial maintenance
* Additional certifications or training in a maintenance-related field

The annual salary range for this position is $64,000.00-$96,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
