As a Senior Director of Profitability, you will be a key leader in shaping Walmart’s eCommerce and omni-fulfillment profitability strategy. You will be responsible for defining and executing initiatives that optimize revenue, reduce costs, and improve the financial health of Walmart’s digital fulfillment experience. Your work will directly impact how customers shop and engage with Walmart’s digital and omnichannel offerings.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that requires a strong business acumen, a data-driven mindset, and a deep understanding of customer behavior in eCommerce and retail. You will collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering to develop new customer-centric propositions that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute the long-term profitability strategy for Walmart’s eCommerce and omni-fulfillment customer experience, balancing cost efficiency, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.Identify high-impact opportunities to enhance customer experience while optimizing costs, leveraging competitive analysis, industry trends, and internal data insights.Lead cross-functional collaboration with teams across Product, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering to design and implement strategies that drive profitability while delivering great customer outcomes and engagement.Define and evaluate new revenue streams and business models within Walmart’s digital and omnichannel ecosystem, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.Analyze profitability drivers across customer experience touchpoints (e.g., checkout, delivery options, returns, loyalty programs, and digital promotions) to create optimized propositions that enhance both customer experience and financial outcomes.Develop and oversee key business performance metrics and financial models, ensuring that all customer experience initiatives align with Walmart’s financial goals.Act as a thought leader and advisor to senior executives, translating complex financial and operational data into actionable business strategies.Lead a high-performing team of business strategists and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.Champion a customer-first mindset while ensuring that all strategic decisions are financially viable and contribute to long-term business success.Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, consulting, product operations, or eCommerce growth in a large-scale digital or omnichannel organization.Strong expertise in financial modeling, revenue optimization, and customer economics in an eCommerce, digital retail, or omnichannel fulfillment setting.Proven track record of driving strategic business initiatives from ideation to execution, with a measurable impact on profitability and customer experience.Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders at all levels, and drive cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment.Deep understanding of customer behavior, digital product strategy, and business model innovation in eCommerce and omnichannel fulfillment.Experience working with data science, analytics, and automation technologies to drive data-backed business decisions.Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.Passion for customer experience, digital transformation, and innovation in eCommerce and retail.At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
