Role and Responsibilities
Supervises the logistics process, guiding the suppliers and the freight forwardersTakes on the role of interface between Avio Aero suppliers and plants and works out logistic disconnectionsIdentifies the critical aspects of the logistics process and proposes solutionsMonitors the freight forwarders performance thru suitable KPI’sContributes to control and optimize Logistics costs, by defining and proposing cost reduction projectsIdentifies actions to reduce transportation process variations by applying Six Sigma tools and best practicesIs engaged in transportation compliance aspects Monitors the military export licenses renewal due to the expiration either by validity period or by value exhaustionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college 5 plus years’ experience in international Logistics (Proficiency in transportation – air mode)5 plus years’ Experience with Suppliers and/or Customers Fluent English and Italian Computer skills with intermediate and/or advanced Excel experienceNOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
