We are searching for an experienced USAID TRADE Project - Trade Support Assistant at our Egypt facility.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
USAID’s Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy with the aim of substantially increasing Egyptian exports from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on seven selected sectors: engineering products, food processing, home textiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, printing and packaging, and building materials. Through the project, USAID works with the Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and reduce barriers to trade. USAID also partners with business associations and export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small- and medium-sized exporters, as well as with private companies to help them access new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and drive economic growth.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Within Result 2's framework focused on amplifying the capacities of selected Trade Support Institutions (TSIs) and fortifying their service portfolio, the Trade Support Assistant plays a vital role. Reporting to the Trade Services Manager, this position aids in developing and enhancing services for TSIs.
Responsibilities include supporting the formulation of action plans for capacity-building interventions, conducting regular progress assessments, and assisting TSIs in refining their service delivery procedures. The Trade Support Assistant collaborates across TRADE teams, ensuring streamlined information flow and efficient task execution.
The role demands candidates with a strong understanding of export development, business environment exposure, project management, and excellent communication and writing abilities.
TASKS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international development, economics, communications, or a related field.0-3 Years of relevant work experience.Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely delivery of overall project timelines.Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) requirements and practices in project implementation is a plus.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Exceptional analytical skills and strong organizational abilities.Collaborative mindset and capability to liaise with various project teams.
