As a part of our continued growth, LKQ is seeking a Car Buyer to join our team! You will be responsible for managing the inbound flow of products to support the company's sales objectives. To excel in this position, you must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, and be very organized in tasks. Essential Job Duties (Up to 10 statements summarizing major duties weight each item at 10%)
• Maintain purchase manifest and supplier accounts.
• Determines and plans daily route and vendor visits.
• Delivers payment to the vendor.
• Identify potential new customers and establish relationships.
• Awareness of company inventory and supply needs.
• Maintain a network of customers to sustain continuity and consistency in quality and volume buys.
• Maintain a direct line of communication with leadership and peers regarding the competitive situation, market conditions, and scheduling.
• May work with leadership to negotiate pricing and purchase terms.
• May be responsible for processing orders, and managing relationships.
• May inspect the product for proof of ownership and attach-title or CD to an agreement.
• May load goods onto the truck or coordinate goods for shipment/transport, verify manifest, and validate accuracy paperwork.
• May organize delivery or delivery of products and unloading of goods.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct or Indirect):
• Not responsible for supervising employees.
