Meet the team
As SAP Procurement Product Team, our mission is to provide the world's leading cloud-based spend management solution, unifying the SAP Procurement portfolio across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, and SAP Fieldglass. We are currently looking for a Technical Writer / User Assistance (UA) Developer to help shape the user experience for one of our top solutions within SAP Procurement. The development is set up globally with few scrum teams in Bangalore. A close cooperation between the teams is key and you will work in an international environment directly together with colleagues from other locations. We work in cross-functional teams applying Scrum as well as methods of agile software development.
What you will do:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about our customers’ experience and helps drive customer adoption of SAP Procurement solutions. This involves creating innovative and cutting-edge user assistance materials for our customers.
Your tasks will include:
Creating user assistance (UA) deliverables that enable users to deploy, administer, and use SAP software. UA deliverables include, but are not limited to, terminology, UI texts, guides, multimedia (graphics and videos), scripts, in-app help, tutorials, API references, and social media content. Testing the software that you describe in the UA deliverables. Contributing to the usability of the software by reviewing UI screens and texts. Structuring content and selecting distribution channels according to the information needs of your target groups. Collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to constantly improve the quality of your deliverables. Preparing content for delivery, including the provision of metadata, following the standard production process. Actively participating in cross-department/cross-company projects to improve UA tools, processes, concepts, or content. Contributing to initiatives aimed at revolutionizing user assistance at SAP, which also involves leveraging GenAI technology.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 4 to 7 years of total work experience in technical writing. Experience in creating product documentation (preferably in DITA). Experience in creating social media content (for example blogs, tweets, or videos). Excellent written and spoken skills in English. Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts and present them clearly and concisely. Commitment to quality in all deliverables through proofreading and editing content for linguistic correctness, readability, usability, and correct terminology. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively. Solid understanding of Cloud technologies. Willingness to quickly acquire knowledge in new areas and adapt to change.
