User Experience Design Lead

Person needs to sit in one of the following states: local to NE: MA, NH, ME, RI**

This position will serve as a key resource to the bank. This role will execute the strategy for User Experience (UX) design across digital and non-digital products and services. This role will set a new, higher standard for the way we build interactions for our customers and activate our brand within our digital products. This role will use human centered design techniques to understand customer needs and design the solutions to meet those needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Executes the user experience (UX) design for our digital products (e.g., Online / Mobile Platform, Account Opening, etc.) Builds prototypes for emerging digital products and leads the user testing efforts, integrating customer feedback, and business and market data, to deliver new products/services to market. Creates the digital assets, user experience design, and maintains the governance and documentation for, our digital design system. Ensures company’s digital products are highly useable, accessible, and operationally feasible within our technology stack. Insures timely and transparent communication across project teams, job functions, stakeholders

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING: 

Must be both imaginative and highly analytical – conceptualizing new solutions that delight our customers based on data and research (e.g. jobs-to-be-done) Proven design and product development expertise as well as a record of building trust with stakeholders Minimal supervision required with the ability to drive results and problem resolutions effectively and efficiently Proven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of others, building / motivating / leading cross-functional teams Highly articulate communicator who is able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner

REQUIREMENTS: 

Customer obsessed 10+ years hands-on experience working in a design/product development role in Financial Services, Fintech, Consumer Product or other regulated industries. Portfolio of high-quality work Demonstrated experience in UX design, strategy, leadership, user testing, and delivery across high impact product initiatives Highly collaborative approach to designing and building products  Proven ability to leverage data to make business decisions, then measure execution results

Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree or military experience or equivalent combination of training and experience  Startup experience and/or large company digital design & product development experience Experience working in an agency setting, building creative for best in class brands
