JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The User Experience Designer for Entergy’s AI organization will play a pivotal role in guiding our organization through the dynamic landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. This position reports to the Director of AI Governance & Enablement and will help form and implement strategies that drive user adoption for our organization's AI initiatives using human-centric design principles. This role requires a dynamic and experienced design and/or change management professional capable of driving change at the product level through high-quality designs, ensuring that product users are engaged, informed, and ready to adapt to the transformative impact of AI technologies.
Collaborating with other members of the AI teams (fellow designers, Product Managers, Engineering team members, Business analysts, Business managers, Governance & Enablement teams, Platform teams), the UX Designer will focus on UX research, interaction, visual, and process design. The UX Designer will facilitate conversations with our business customers to learn and document their behaviors, attitudes, emotions, journeys, and pain points. The UX Designer will incorporate those learnings in creating innovative product designs, prototypes to aid in visualizing product vision, helping the AI teams re-design user processes, and strategizing on product rollout and communications to maximize the transformative impact of our AI products.

Develop plans to facilitate AI technology adoption Collaborate with project leaders to identify and address change impact and potential areas of resistance to change Identify potential risks and challenges associated with new product development and incorporate mitigation plans in overall design Establish feedback mechanisms to gather user and stakeholder feedback. Incorporate feedback data to identify improvement opportunities to ensure successful product adoption3. Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with project teams, business leaders, product users, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and concerns. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure ongoing support for projects. Incorporate strategy of integration of new products into existing business processes through design.4. Communication
Clarify your design process and when it fits within your team’s roadmap and goals Communicate design decisions and strategies Consistent communication with team members and stakeholders on the progress of design and product Communicate design’s role and value for Entergy’s customers and stakeholders Contribute to the development and delivery of project-specific user training5. Facilitate design, brand, and product strategy sprint workshops Influence and collaborate with team members on executing successful outcomes Coordinate users’ inclusion through various methods e.g. rapid feedback, listening sessions, and usability testing Be able to deliver in a rapid, agile manner6. Train and mentor AI teams and business customers on design thinking principles and techniques Collaborate with AI product delivery teams in incorporating design processes in delivery methodologies Collaborate with AI enablement specialists in developing guides to promote democratization of AI capabilities throughout the company.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Level I: 0-2 years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience; 5+ years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience in lieu of degree Level II: 2+ years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience; 6+ years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience in lieu of degree Level Senior: 5+ years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience; 9+ years of professional experience with a mix of UX design and change management experience in lieu of degree A background with product prototyping and testing, future visioning, strategy development, user journeys, UX research Exposure/experience designing UI and visualizations for analytics products desired Experience with change and communications strategies related to deployment of digital products preferred Experience with Agile development methodology preferred
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Familiarity with industry design and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, XD, and Webflow) Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with energy and utility industry preferred#LI-TR1
