Step into Your New Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Utilities Designer to work both collaboratively and independently completing residential gas and/or electric design. This position utilizes a variety of technical skills, along with strong customer service, and time management skills. Job setting includes both in office and multiple weekly field visits. This individual will have the opportunity to work with a team of seasoned and enthusiastic designers and managers, with vast oppurtunities for growth within the Power sector.
Responsibilities
-Complete approximately 7-10 weekly field visits to obtain required information for design execution
-Work in fast paced environment
-Maintain active workload queue of 15-25 gas and/or electric design requests
-Provide outstanding customer satisfaction
-Design projects utilizing multiple proprietary software programs
-Efficiently manage workload to meet job deadlines
-Strong communication with team to ensure quality design product and timely delivery
-Attend weekly meetings both in-person and via Microsoft Teams
-Maintain required training updates for both company and clients
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
-Vehicle and Proof of insurance
-1-3 years Utility Design Experience
-Knowledge of design standards and regulations
-Strong Customer Relations Skills

-Asset Suite
-Intellio
-GIS
-Pole Foreman
-ED Calcs
-Microstation
-Microsoft Office including Teams
Skills and Experience
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written
-Attention to detail
-Ability to multitask
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Ability to assess site conditions and identify design solutions
-Strong analytical skills for solving complex design challenges
-Adaptability in addressing unexpected issues during the design process
