Job SummaryThe M&R Utility A - Start position assists other Mechanics in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all metering, measurement, and regulation equipment under the direct Supervision of the Senior Supervisor M&R. The successful candidate will be subject to M&R department call out. Confined Space entry required.
Duties and Responsibilities Assists in installing, operating, troubleshooting and repairing all types of regulators and control valves in the system. Install, repair and replace all meters above a size AC800 and all measurement equipment. Assists other employees to install, operate, troubleshoot and repair all types/sizes of meters and correctors in the system. Assists in performing general regulator station maintenance AND troubleshoot complex city gate stations Uses all required electronic hardware and software systems to maintain required records Conforms to all safety standards and procedures required to operate complex systems Other duties as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to use critical thinking skills to install and maintain a large variety of regulators & control valves Use computers and software for many types of systems and administrative functions Ability to adapt and change to technology and procedural changes Be neat, clean, and organized in vehicle and station areas. Possess mental acuity and ability to concentrate on tasks to perform work safely and successfully. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid PA Driver’s license
