Your role and responsibilitiesAs an Area Sales Manager in the utility market, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within the Southeastern United States (VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL). You will develop and implement strategic sales plans, manage a team of sales representatives, and build strong relationships with key customers and distributors in the utility sector.While this is a remote position, successful candidates should be located within the territory (VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL). Relocation assistance will not be provided. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCreating the division sales plans for the area, in coordination with the Sales organization and teams.•\tAnalyzing the customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and the information provided by the Sales organization.•\tEnsuring efficient marketing actions (e.g., product launches) and communications to the Sales organization and customers, communicating the value proposition of the products, systems, services, and packages provided by the company.•\tSupporting the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, as well as in the preparation of competitive/strategic offers.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field strongly preferred.Minimum 2 - 4 years related experience required.Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the utility market.Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales organization.Knowledge of sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and customer relationship management.Ability to travel within the assigned territory and meet with key customers. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
