The Omni San Diego Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Utility Attendant. This position assists in all areas of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
Strip and replace all pillows, blankets and bed linensHigh dust – thoroughly clean the drapes, full window, every window sill, every picture frame etc.Low dust – thoroughly clean all baseboards, edging around the room and under the armorPull beds and nightstands away from the walls in order to deep clean behind themFlip and rotate mattresses quarterlyDetail all furniture – desk, armor, nightstands and all drawersReplace coffee maker, TV remote, and collateral as neededDetail the closet, cleaning top shelf, and safeInspect and replace hangers, iron, ironing board, and luggage racks as neededTest and ensure that all equipment is in working order (lights, light switches, A/C, clock, outlets etc.)Report any faulty equipment or necessary repairs, including necessary paint touch upsRemove and replace shower curtains and all towelsRemove all items from bathroom shelves and deep clean all surfaces of the bathroomVacuum carpet thoroughly and call for Carpet Care when finishedReport and turn in any guest belongings to lost and found Be familiar with the “Moments of Service” and Omni standards for the departmentGreet all guests in a friendly mannerPerform any other duties as assignedPerform turn down service when neededDeliver guest itemsClean public space areas in accordance to the high Omni Hotels & Resorts' standardsAssist in all areas of the Housekeeping and Laundry department when neededComplete and assist with side tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping leadership team Qualifications
Requirements:
Previous hotel experience preferredAbility and willingness to regularly lift up to 30 lbs. as well as regularly push/pull up to 50lbs.Ability and willingness to bend, stoop and stretch regularlyAbility and willingness to stand/walk for extended periods of a timeAbility and willingness to work a varied schedule that will include weekends and holidaysAbility to communicate effectively in basic EnglishMaintain knowledge of overall hotel facility and various servicesAbility to work with others in order to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner Ability to complete any cleaning task in a safe manner, using appropriate chemicals and methods*Pay: $24.20/hour The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
