Davey Resource Group is expanding our utility construction team and is looking for an Intern who will engage with project managers and field coordinators to add value to the construction management processes.** **Job Description** **As a Utility Construction Management Intern you will learn about management best practices, quality control and integration of business systems and processes in a hands-on environment. You will work in both indoor and outdoor environments with utility construction professionals to complete tasks related to resource planning, scheduling, quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC), materials tracking, and other functions of management.** **Responsibilities** + **Participate in planning exercises to become familiar with tools and methods used in utility construction through hands on application** + **Shadow field level supervisors and managers to understand common safety practices in utility construction. Apply that understanding by assisting with field level inspections and observations.** + **Review dashboards and detailed quality assurance reports. Track progress and report on QA / QC metrics.** + **Assist with the implementation of material tracking systems.** + **All other duties as assigned** **Requirements** + **Background in Construction Management or Business Management.** + **A good listener who can collaborate well with others.** + **Strong understanding and experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google’s suite of office products (Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc)** + **A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn through hands-on assignments** **Additional Information** **This internship location will be based in our Richfield, Ohio office but the team that this intern will work with has team members who work around the country.
