Job Title: Designer Job Description We are seeking talented drafters and designers to learn and master the craft of electrical and/or gas distribution utility projects. This role offers hands-on training to help you become proficient in working independently on various projects. You will use microstation design software to apply electrical and specific standards, ensuring a high level of accuracy. Occasionally, you will conduct field visits to capture project images. Collaboration is key, as you will be working as part of a dedicated team. Responsibilities + Learn and master electrical and gas distribution utility projects + Receive hands-on training to work independently on specific project types + Operate microstation design software to complete jobs accurately + Apply electrical and specific standards to projects + Conduct occasional field visits to take project pictures + Collaborate effectively as part of a team Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation (from school or work experience) + Ability to work as part of a team + Eagerness to learn and absorb information + Interest in utilities + Strong coordination skills + Ability to commute daily to the office and willingness to do fieldwork Additional Skills & Qualifications + Desire to kickstart a career with a well-known engineering firm + Strong written and verbal communication skills Work Environment This is an in-office role with potential for hybrid flexibility. We offer 12 days of PTO and 6 Paid Holidays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
