In the role of a Utility EIT/Coordinator we'll count on you to:Utility relocation/coordination for agencies such as TxDOT, Regional Mobility Authorities, Counties, and Cities.Identifying and resolving utility conflicts in the most feasible and time sensitive mannerInputting utility information into Microstation creating Utility Layouts, creating plans sheets for design of utility relocationThis requires continual coordination with clients and utility owners to ensure project schedules are met and are in compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations by becoming well versed with the interpretation of TxDOT's Utility Accommodation Rules, Utility Manual, Roadway Design Manual; Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD), and CFR 645 Subparts A B (Code of Federal Regulations of Utilities).Preferred QualificationsEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeProficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk  Infraworks and Civil3dAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
