Eaton is looking for a motivated and results-driven **Sales Engineer – Utility** to drive sales and business development across **Eaton’s complete product portfolio** in the **UAE utility sector** . This includes **Medium Voltage (MV) & Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, transformers, power quality solutions, automation & control, grid modernization, and energy transition solutions** . The ideal candidate will develop strong relationships with **utility companies, government entities, and EPCs** , driving sales growth and positioning Eaton as a preferred partner for electrical solutions.
**What you’ll do:**
**Sales & Business Development:**
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Eaton’s presence in the UAE utility & renewable market.
• Identify and engage key stakeholders within utilities (DEWA, SEWGA, EtihadWE, TAQA Transmission, TAQA Distribution, etc.), municipalities, and government infrastructure projects.
• Promote Eaton’s end-to-end power distribution, control, and automation solutions to utilities and EPC contractors.
• Lead the qualification process for Eaton’s complete product range with UAE utilities, ensuring technical approvals and compliance with utility standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Tendering, and Marketing) to ensure competitive solutions.
**Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:**
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utility decision-makers, technical consultants, and procurement teams.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on Eaton’s advanced technologies, including grid modernization, digital switchgear, and SF6-free solutions.
• Monitor customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
**Tendering & Proposal Management:**
• Work closely with the tendering team to prepare competitive bids for utility projects and framework agreements.
• Ensure Eaton’s solutions meet utility specifications, technical compliance, and commercial requirements.
• Support the pre-qualification process to get Eaton’s product portfolio approved by key utilities.
• Drive negotiations to secure orders with optimized pricing and margins.
**Market & Product Knowledge:**
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, utility grid modernization, energy transition, smart grid, and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide feedback to Product Management on customer needs and emerging market opportunities.
• Support Eaton’s thought leadership in SF6-free technology, energy storage, and renewable integration.
**Collaboration & Reporting:**
• Work cross-functionally with Eaton’s regional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Maintain accurate records in Sales Force and provide regular sales forecasts and business reports.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
+ 5+ years in sales or business development within the utility, power distribution, or electrical equipment sector
**Skills:**
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MV & LV switchgear, transformers, power automation, protection & control, and grid modernization solutions.
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE utility specifications, tendering processes, and regulatory standards.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Other: UAE driving license preferred.
