Utility Maintenance (Casting)

System One is assisting a client in Hubbard, Ohio to find Utility Maintenance (Casting) The role of Utility Maintenance is to provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees by managing hazardous waste stream, maintain EPA compliance with bag house functions and by performing preventive and seasonal maintenance as needed.

$1,000 Sign-on BONUS!
Competitive hourly wage - $17.50/hr.
Eligible to earn monthly Profit Sharing
Mon. - Fri 5am/7am (weather determining) - 2pm/4 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned).

Continually work to provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees Assist in maintaining an effective Preventive Maintenance Program. Organize and prioritize maintenance activities, such as repairs, scheduled maintenance, and PMs, and ensure their completion in a timely manner. Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams onsite Daily inspections of the WWTP and baghouses Perform preventive maintenance on all catch basins at the facility to maintain compliance Maintain all maintenance related documents, such as work orders, completed PM forms, waste and environmental reports, etc. Support the CMMS system. Maintain adherence to Company Policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Proficient computer skills or ability to learn Direct workers in all activities associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, industrial clean-up, emergency response activities, environmental testing, and the correct disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes. perform yearly training in RCRA Perform emission testing on all baghouses and record results. Provide seasonal maintenance around the facility such as lawn care, salting sidewalks, snow removal, etc. Perform additional duties that may become necessary within the department.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Must be able to perform work at heights Must be able to pass physical requirements Must be able to work around heat and extreme temperatures Ability to read blueprints, spec sheets and tape measure or willingness to learn Must be willing to work flexible hours and mandatory overtime Ability to train on Crane Ability to lift 30 – 60 pounds Excellent safety and attendance records

Skills and Abilities

Ability to work safe Good math skills Solid organization skills Ability to handle multiple projects while meeting required deadlines Must be able to run an assortment of mobile equipment.

Working Conditions

Worker is subject to an environment not controlled for heat or cold. Worker is often subject to greases, oils, dirt, dust, cold and heat throughout the workday.  Worker is subject to work being performed on or above ground floor and below ground level (ground pit) Workers must be able to wear proper PPE (thermal protective clothing, respirators, hardhat, steel toe metatarsals, and ear plugs) and be trained for confined space (entry and attendant). This position requires a HEAVY level of physical demand capability. Workers frequently stand on concrete flooring.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED 2-5 years of experience in heavy industrial operation is preferred Familiar with OSHA, NFPA, OAC and EPA regulations or willing to learn
