**Job Title: Utility Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Utility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the plant. This role involves troubleshooting machinery within the plant, including conveyors and bottling machines, and ensuring the equipment is operational after repairs. In addition to machinery maintenance, the technician will also perform facility maintenance tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will split their time equally between industrial and facility maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance according to the schedule to prevent equipment breakdowns. + Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments. + Act as the initial responder when a production line stops, ensuring that appropriate mechanical help is on site to quickly address any issues using electrical and/or mechanical skills. + Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime. + Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). + Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary. **Essential Skills** + Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting + Mechanical skills + Experience with preventive maintenance + Familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems + Knowledge of blueprint reading + Experience with robotics and conveyor systems + Possession of a journeyman card (preferred but not required) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3 years of industrial and facilities maintenance experience + Ability to work on multiple levels, including catwalks, ladders, and lifts + Comfortable wearing hairnets, food-grade attire, and respirators as needed + Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems with conveyor systems + Previous union experience (Steel Workers Union preferred) + Previous food-grade experience + Experience with wastewater treatment **Why Work Here?** This position offers stable work with annual bonuses and a $1500 referral bonus for skilled technicians. The position is shift flexible, with openings on D shift. Crew D hours are 1/2 Wednesday (1am-7am), Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7pm to 7am. The starting pay rate is $29.30/hr. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of PAW PAW, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Refresco has a $2000 sign on bonus paid in parts after 3 months and 6 months.
