Responsibilities Follow all Berry safety and environmental policies and proceduresFollow OSHA rules and regulationsMonitor quality of product; inspects bottles for defects, inspects boxes for damage and properly follows customer pack patternsCommunicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the Goals of the Department and the Plant.Properly seal, label and stack cartons of finished productPalletizes boxes weighing up to 35 lbs, band/utilizes pallet loads, moves pallets to staging area, operates pallet jack as required and trainedHand pack bottles according to written instructionsBasic entry level operation of packing equipmentClear product jams as needed and trainedEnsure needed packaging supplies and labels are in production areaPerforms janitorial work; sweep, clean and wipe down machinery, maintains a clean and orderly work areaAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines; wear protective clothing, long-sleeved shirt, jeans or slacks, hair net, latex gloves and practices good hygieneConsistently lift boxes that weigh 35lbs.Maintain correct carton and skid count on production form each assigned machineVerify correct weight and countsStand for up to 12 hours a day packing bottles in cartonsConstruct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartonsSort held ware correctlyWilling and able to work overtime when neededIdentify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnelEffectively respond in an Emergency Situation such as Fire, and Accident and direct the activities of othersFollow all Department Procedures and DirectivesAll other duties as assigned Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to multi-taskMust be able to pass a background check and drug testMust be able to monitor quality of machine outputCapable of lifting (up to 35 pounds).Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarmsMust be able to follow all department procedures and directives.Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

Manufacturing experienceHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent.
