We are seeking a skilled and reliable Utility Porter to join our team at Alliance Building Services. As a Utility Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Class A facilities by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient operations. Your expertise in various flooring machines and techniques will be essential for success in this role
Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other specialized equipment. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts. Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and report any issues promptly. Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized environment. Respond to urgent cleaning requests or spills. Follow established protocols for handling hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants.
Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Utility Porter or similar role. Proficiency in operating floor cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, polishers, steam cleaners). Knowledge of different flooring types (carpet, tile, hardwood) and appropriate cleaning methods. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Excellent communication skills. Reliable transportation to and from work. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude and willingness to learn #FQM1
