**Utility Worker Job Description** Olsten is assisting a local client recruiting for a current Paper Mill Utility Worker in Rockingham, NC. We are looking for a hardworking utility worker to perform general duties. This is a long-term temporary to hire opportunity. As a member of the team, you will be relied upon to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a full-time entry level position on a continuous, 24/7 Paper Machine operation. If you meet the qualifications listed below, please Apply Now! **Paper Mill Utility Worker Responsibilities:** + Taking verbal and written instructions from company managers and maintenance officers. + Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot quality of product and customer/order specifications + Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from our systems + Operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards + Follow job specific procedures during paper machine shut down; ability to assist in orderly start up and/or shut down paper machine + Cut and/or set cores + Assist with paper machine operations + Process rolls to customer specifications + Move material to and around paper mill and stock prep area + Ensuring the safe handling and storage of equipment. + Ensuring that utility projects have been completed and signed off. **Paper Mill Utility Worker Requirements:** + High school diploma or GED. + Previous experience as a utility worker. + Ability to read and interpret written work orders. + Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods. + Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment. + Ability to work in cold/hot/wet environment + Ability to work a 12 hour swing/rotating shift Pay for this position is $16.50/hr. plus overtime as needed.
