HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Sunstates Security is currently hiring Utility Security Officers in the Charlotte, NC area. The Utility / Event Officer is an on-call officer position that covers posts as needed that are open due to call offs, staff shortages or client requested extra coverage. (Must have open Availability)
Key Responsibilities:
Ø In addition to the requirements of regular security officers, the UTILITY/ EVENT is expected to maintain detailed notes on all sites that they train at to provide seamless service to the clients when they must cover that post.Ø Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ø Must be able to keep track of time for post worked and submit to Operations manager no later than 10am on Friday.
Quality Standards:
Ø Comes to work whether called in or scheduled in advance; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). Refusal to accept assignments may result in:o Failure to receive sufficient hours per week.o Removal from the UTILITY/ EVENT program.Ø Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.Ø Must not smoke on any assigned postØ Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.Ø Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively. Ø Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations.Ø Must report all concerns to management noted on sites assigned.
Qualifications:
Ø Must have a clean driving record if assigned to a driving post.Ø Generally: 1 year or more of security experience. (Manager Discretion)Ø Basic computer skills and cell phone literacyØ Good to excellent verbal and written skillsØ Able to provide and deliver quality customer serviceØ Ability to make good decisions (judgement and common sense)Ø Financial / mathematical aptitudeØ Ability to work a Flexible schedule and to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as requested (Open availability is a must!!)Ø Reliable transportation to get to work site.Ø Well-motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.Ø Must maintain reliable means of communication to be contacted by management.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
High School diploma or equivalent
