Description:
This position is for a Utility Officer in the Spartanburg/Greenville/Greenwood area of Upstate SC.
The Utility is an on-call officer position that covers posts as needed that are open due to call-offs, staff shortages or client requested extra coverage. (Must have open Availability)
Key Responsibilities:
Ø In addition to the requirements of regular security officers, UTILITY is expected to maintain detailed notes on all sites that they train at to provide seamless service to the clients when they must cover that post.Ø Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ø Must be able to keep track of time for post worked and submit it to Operations manager no later than 10am on Friday.
Quality Standards:
Ø Comes to work whether called in or scheduled in advance; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). Refusal to accept assignments may result in:o Failure to receive sufficient hours per week.o Removal from the UTILITY program.Ø Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.Ø Must not smoke on any assigned post.Ø Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.Ø Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively. Ø Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations.Ø Must report all concerns to management noted on sites assigned.Ø After 3 consecutive refusals to cover a post within a 60-day period, a Utility may be placed on a permanent post. (Manager Discretion)
Qualifications:
Ø Must have a clean driving record if assigned to a driving post.Ø Generally: 1 year or more of security experience. (Manager Discretion)Ø Basic computer skills and cell phone literacyØ Good to excellent verbal and written skillsØ Able to provide and deliver quality customer service.Ø Ability to make good decisions (judgement and common sense)Ø Financial / mathematical aptitudeØ Ability to work a Utilityible schedule and to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as requested (Open availability is a must!!)Ø Reliable transportation to get to work site.Ø Well motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.Ø Must maintain reliable means of communication to be contacted by management.
High School diploma or equivalent
